1951 Patek Philippe “Hour Glass” (1593P)
Coveted by collectors for its large size and mid-century design, the Patek Philippe Ref. 1593 received the nickname “Hour Glass” due to its flared case shape and angular crystal. Most commonly seen in gold, it is very rare to find an example in platinum, especially with a diamond dial! This example, dating to 1951, was just serviced by Patek Philippe and the Extract from the Archives confirms the diamond dial as equipped from new. A truly remarkable piece!
